Posted by dritters in : Uncategorized , add a commentI can’t stand it when advertisers misuse numbers or use numbers to misrepresent thier products. Two of my “favorite” examples are the phone companies ads that show ten candies/sprinkles and say “These represent the ten people in my circle” and follow with a large amount of said object saying “These represent the 80 million people on the network…” The quantities they show are not close to being 80 million. Second, the Orbit gum commercial with a bad rapper “I’m talking 35. I’m talking 35.” as he carries a pack of 35 pieces of gum. It them shows him from behind as the a number of pieces far greater than 35 fly out of the pack.
